Try it out first. I like them, but they still have their flaws and need to be perfected

plus, they only come in 8GB and 16GB

Keeping them in your pocket, you don't have the same control as you do a regular ipod. This may not affect you, but it certainly affects me. Also, the screen does get smudgy if you dont buy a case. But with a case, its fine. However, it does have a lot of pros. If you dont have enough music/pics/vids to fill it up, I would say to get it

It is really nice, but I probably won't get one until a new version comes out that works out all the glitches of the original

I was just looking at this about 5 minutes ago and it looks pretty innovative (my friend has one)...obviously the touch ability, wi-fi, ability to sync without connecting to your computer, etc.

However I have a video ipod already so I don't think I'll be just tossing that for something new

hard drive far far too small, i just got a 80gig classic which is far cheaper and better, except touch has wi-fi. other than wifi (and aesthetics) there is no reason to get the touch that i can see

The screen is bigger, and watching videos is much better on the touch than the video.

no, it doesn't. on the amazon page, there is no mention. if the iPod touch did have one, apple would definitely at least refer to it in their product description. maybe soundout confused it with the iPhone

It's just a stripped down iPhone, which is a pile of shit. So you are getting a stripped down pile of shit....

In my opinion, all apple products are overpriced pieces of junk. The only reason people will shell out so much for these buggy electronic devices (be they mp3 players, phones, OS's, computers, etc.) is for the name brand, the minimalist "chic", and the unnecessary features. To me apple seems too caught up in making a "cool" product rather than a good product.
But, that's just my opinion.

I can tell you why it's hard drive is too small. It doesn't have one. It uses internal flash memory which is much more battery efficient.

I think it kicks ass... It still needs a camera though

As for apple yes they create "cool name brand stuff" like abrochromia and fitch. however you spell it. They dont make the best stuff. Untill the ipod touch there were other mp3 players with radio and other stuff like that. that the ipod just didnt have. I dont get why people buy all their junk.

This is the one item i would buy from apple just cause it has wi-fi

Perhaps a better choice? Its what I have as my phone at the moment, which is sightly ironic as I have a separate Ipod for my fairly massive music library, and a DSLR camera for photography...

But with the N95 you get a phone, wifi, a good camera for everyday snaps, sat-nav... I use the music player sometime and just rotate a gigs worth of albums on the card.

Not touch screen, though.

I figure the first generation of touch screen will be fairly shitty. I'll give it a few years before pawing t my electronics, thanks.

apple has been known to produce high quality products, which is why they are expensive. i love my ipod and i have tried lots of mp3 players but the ipod is by far the best

At the same time I could also say that by the exorbitant price it is assumed that the product is high quality.

High quality as in it wont break and looks good. But it's missing a lot of features that it Should have
