I'm Betting The Patriots Will NOT Win The Super Bowl

I'm betting that the pats will NOT win the super bowl and they will most definitely NOT go undefeated in the regular season. If you think they will do both, or one or the other, you're in the right place.

I'll be betting avatars, sigs, location, time off of CC, whatever...
Any takers? Or are all you patriots "Fans" all talk...

Don't worry, all of the Pats fans are like you guys as well, bandwagoning hippies :D

hmm. . .not about that, but I'll bet something ( location) on LSU (I HATE that f*cking team) losing their next game.

Well, if the Patriots and Colts meet up again in the playoffs, I think the Colts will win.

I'm a Bears fan but you're crazy if you're that confident they won't win the Super Bowl. The only team that holds a candle to them is the Colts...and they're pretty much dead even. You're basically taking a 50:50 bet.

Not really...
They may be the best team in the NFL right now, but the best team doesn't always win, and any team could beat any other team on any given day

I didn't think they'd go undefeated before looking at the sched, but after, I'd be willing to go 7:2 on undefeated.

And how much would I need to tell you about Eason to disabuse of this idea that Patriots fans are bandwagoners? Feel free to hate us just because we're winning, don't go making stuff up.

That's not much of a bet. That's like betting that the great pyramid in Giza will not collapse in the next year. To single out one team out of 32, and say they WON'T win it all isn't a stretch. There are 32 teams, 12 of whom make the playoffs, so if you want to give me the field of 31 other teams, against ONE team, I'll take the field of 31 every time. If you're going to bet that the pats don't win the superbowl, than I hereby bet that the Dolphins don't make the playoffs, cause the odds of anyone picking ONE team out of 31 to win it all, is about the same as Miami making the playoffs at this point. Anyone remember 2003 when KC started out 9-0 steamrolling their opponents, putting 40+ pts on the board nearly every game. That team faltered down the stretch finishing 13-3, and lost at home in the second round of the playoffs to Indianapolis 38-31. I'll bet $1,000 to anybodies $100 that New England DOESN'T win the superbowl, meaning I'm giving anyone who wants to take the one team over the other 31 10:1 odds. I'll even sweeten the deal, I'll take anybodies bet, and if New England wins the superbowl, I'll pay ten times your bet, whatever that may be. This offer is good until December 1st 2007. Any takers?

Nah, not really, its been the truth ever since they won the super bowl in 2002...

I know there are a few "real" fans

I've been a die-hard Steelers fan since '77.
I hate the Putriots, but I am knowledgeable enough of the game to know that they are a powerhouse team right now that deserves respect (even if they are cheaters)......
Undefeated? Possible, but doubtful. The Steelers have as good a chance to beat them and so do the Giants. Especially given the Giants are the last game of the reg season & the Putriots could have the #1 seed locked going into that game.

As far as bandwagoners go. Sorry, but New England is full of bandwagon fans when it comes to the Putriots.
Bo-Sox: different story; but there are A LOT of bandwagon Putriot fans. I know, I live here. That's not to say there isn't a large contingent of "real" fans, just a lot of bandwagoners.
Now you mentioning Tony Eason shows me that I would not classify you as one of the bandwagoners; but ask someone walking down the street wearing a Putriots sweatshirt who he was and they won't have a clue.
The only players they can name are Brady & Bruschi (and maybe Vrabel), and Bruschi only because of the stroke.

[A beautiful piece of Steelers-related male jewelry]

First, I meant to say that the Steelers and the Eagles were the only non-AFC East (which is a complete joke, except for the one team) opponent we had left, and the Eagles aren't even that great this year. Secondly, sure, not all proclaimed Pats fans could pick out anybody from the late 90's teams, the 86 squad, the late 70's, or all the teams that sucked (god, there's lots: we really deserve this run of good luck) but I would say that, as fans of Boston sports teams, we are really all Sox fans who happen to cheer for the other area sports, too. The Patriots (like the Celtics and Bruins) are second-class sporting citizens.

That's really sad, a play-to-win style of living.

that doesn't unprove the fact that you are a bandwagoner within teams. You may be loyal to Brady, but not to the patriots, as you already said yourself
