A twelve year old can legally have sex with anybody of their own gender 16 and below. A male cannot consent to gay sex until the age of 18.

First of all, you can't have sex with anyone under the age of 12, second of all, it's only in special cases that you can have sex with someone who is 12. The legal age of consent for vaginal sex in Canada is 14 with close in age exceptions, where someone who is 14 can have sex with someone who is 12/13. Also, the age of consent for anal sex, 18, is bullshit, they should both be changed to 16. On a related subject of strange laws, check this out for a laugh.

How old exactly are you? Your either a teen who hates the world for sexual restraint laws because you cant get it on with a girl you want, or a pedophile.

The whole sex laws are there because if a 12 year old has a child, then their life is permanently damaged. Its there to protect. Had we been in a different society, where your youth isnt used for developement and learning to survive later on, then i would understand, but think about this, if a 12 year old girl has sex, she would be more hungry for it (because we live in a society where sex and sexual acts (in your youth) are frowned down upon). She would be too busy trying to satisfy her sexual needs rather than focus on studying and succeeding in school. If she has a child, her childhood gets destroyed because then she has to care for the child alone (because the father will most likely run away). She will most likely not succeed in school and would live a miserable live trying to survive on crappy paying jobs, while taking care for her child.

In that case, we should ban TV, video-games, gossip... To conclude that a 12 year old girl would immediately bomb out of school if she had sex is ridiculous.

His point is that girls have had sex from about 12 years old for approximately all of human history up until 150 years ago. There's a huge clue as to when someone is at an age when they sex is biologically and mentally viable. It begins with p and ends with uberty.

I turned 16 on Friday, so I'm not exactly a paedophile now, am I? And so I made a mistake, it was twelve two years ago. Anybody 12 and over can have vaginal intercourse if the person their doing it with is within two years of their age. Which means that last week, I could have legally had sex with a thirteen year old. Still as fucking creepy as having sex with a 12 year old! My point was, why is it that I could have had sex with a girl not even in highschool yet, but not a guy the same age as me?
