Which Total War game is your favorite?

And after that, which Expansion game?

As a historian I can almost convince myself I'm working when playing these games :D... I loved the original Medieval... Rome has been brilliant too but perhaps a little boring when you have a huge empire... just grinding on for those few extra territories. I've not had chance to play much Med II but it seems good... Bring back Glorious Achievement I say, that was a great option.

I liked Rome a lot, haven't played the Medieval ones, but I know I will someday.

I'm not sure to be honest. The original was an absolute classic, and the way the campaign was played was different. I don't know which I prefer really. If both are taken in the context of what games could achieve at the time, perhaps the original.

Rome is perhaps one of the most brilliant games I have ever played. It is a military history and strategy lesson in a video game. Plus it's addicitng. But sometimes it can get a little repetitive.

Repetitiveness is the one problem i saw when playing MTW2.

Don'ttake it too seriously in that regard.

Are people forgetting Shogun Total War?

But I do agree the Medieval (1st one) got the series going. But the 2nd one is kind of repetitive. :?

Shogun was brilliant, first of its kind, but I'm currently researching a doctorate in medieval history! What do you expect?

Of course. :D But I do think that Medieval 2 is slightly more accurate, if not by much.

I heard Rome was the most accurate (weaponswise I mean), only one I've played.

From what I've seen, it's fairly accurate, but I don't think that Amazons lived in the Baltic States.
