Wrote to the end of the page and said i lost the other side.

Well I was coming home from my uncles having stayed over at the weekend and was doing it on the train. When I got off I forgot it

i occasionly go with the annoyed confused look. I frantically look through my bag, get more annoyed, and in the end, look very upset when i can't find it. Then i say i'll get it to him/her asap.

"I wrote it in the wrong place" for the first, "Bus didn't come" for the second, and "I was preoccupied with more important pieces of homework/coursework/plain work and so couldn't finish it".
Also if you need to be sick diarrhoea is a surprisingly effective if a tad embarrassing one to use.

1) You didn't understand the work.
2) Pretend you have it, reach into your bag and look surprised when you can't find it.
That last one worked surprisingly well for me on many occasions.

The last one I only do genuinely, since ruffling through the filing cabinet that is my bag takes forever.

Yeah, acting like you did it but just can't seem to find it in your bag/folder has worked for me every single time... but that's probably because of the reputation I have as a student (no matter how unfounded it is). I've even seen people try to pull the same thing right after me and get a zero on it... but they're not known for sparkling essays.
Lesson is: School (and life) is screwed up.
Oh, I know someone who got away with the "dog ate my homework" trick. They took an old essay and crumpled it up beyond recognition, and then tore it, spit on it, ran it through the dirt, etc. It was pretty believable, but c'mon.. saved his grade, though.

Uh, no?
It's actually because of this site that my English grade dropped 11% 4th quarter last year...

If it wasn't for the last minute nothing would ever get done.
And sometimes that last minute isn't long enough to do it all.
So you hand in half and say that you'd made a start but thought it was in for next week.

Almost every essay I've ever done was completed in 15-30 minutes. On timed writings I basically stare at my paper until I have 20 min. to go...

Did you just call me a password whore or something???
And I can honestly say, if I don't turn something in on time, I NEVER turn it in...

It is my belief that the ability to talk your way out of deadlines is a more valuable and portable skill than being able to meet them.

I'll vouch for diddle on his as well, it has worked for me numerous times, also, "my computer was acting up on me", "I was working on other homework", "I was busy doing work around the house" also works well.

''I didn't do it''
I rarely turned anything in. And I passed 1st in class everywhere ( expect French ) almost everytimes.
I geuss getting 95-100% in exams help a lot.
