Well, its finally arrived. Along with October comes halloween and candy and some other things, but none of these match the MLB playoffs!
8 teams, 1 winner. Who do you think will go all the way?
Post all of your thoughts please.

My thoughts....
I hate the Yankees, so the Tribe is my favorite team right now.
The Mets... what a collapse! The Padres had a lesser slide, but the Rockies were impressive in coming back. Be interesting to see who wins this game, I'm going with Colorado.
My pick right for the World Series... Boston and Philly, Phillies to win.

you should not root for the tribe....
i dont think the NL teams are going to be able to compete with the AL, but then again i didnt last year either. The tribe do have a pretty good build for playoff baseball, but since they and the yankees are responsible for my team not making it, ill be rooting for the Angels, because if your rooting for boston, you just suck....
*note* if your from boston or have a legit reason to root for them, you suck less.

My time is the Tigers too, so I'm not happy with the Indians or Yankees, but I hate NYY so much, I have to cheer the Tribe.

Excellent. They were 6-3 in the preseason. I went to the home game against NYR, Hasek nearly got a shutout (spoiled in the final 2 1/2 mins), and the won that on 6-1. Grigorenko, the rookie, has a shot at making the team. Franzen had 5 goals in 6 games. Datsyuk and Zetterburg are both stronger this time around, and look better then at the start of last season. Hasek is healthy, and Rafalski is fitting in nicely as a replacement to Schnieder. So as long as some of the young guys step up (Filppula, Hudler), and thanks to the weak Central, Detroit could very well win the West again (regular season at least!)

Should be interesting today. Peavy has pitched against Colorado twice this year and held them to 3 runs in 14 innings. Fogg got hammered early in the season and pitched well for the win in September. Colorado bats have been hot for the last 2 weeks, but they have not faced any good starters in that period. Peavy has been solid the last 4 games. Should be a good one. San Diego 3-2.

I thought it was smart of the DBs to throw their game yesterday once they knew that Colorado and San Diego were going to have to play an extra game contingent on their loss.
I would love to see the DBs beat New York again. It would be nice to see the sox and diamondbacks, but I wouldn't know who to root for.
Lots of evenly matched teams this post season, it is tough to call this year. There are no clear favorites or advantaged teams to win it all.

Yankee fans are not welcome on CC. Please leave now.

(unless you want to make up for it by being a hockey fan, then you can stick around some!)

Crazy game last night, still not sure if Holliday got any of the plate (it's not cut and dried either way imho. great play to make it close by giles, though) too bad the rockies are playing in an inferior league, or it might be really important. Kidding aside, do any of the NL teams compare to any of the AL teams?

I just got home from that game. Pretty good time. Two Yankee fans behind me left after the 7th inning and everyone was heckling them.
A-Rod was Oh Fer as usual in the post season.
