ROUGE brewery

i personally think that ROUGE's dead guy ale, from Rouge brewery in Oregon is the best american beer ive had in a longgggggg time...does anyone know how i can get a hold of it for cheaper than 50.00 a case(in PA)

It's called ROGUE brewery. Rogue is okay. I don't like Dead Guy. How to get it cheaper?... Road trip to Oregon!

yah...noticed the mispelling the second time...sorry, im drunk from drinking it at almost 5 dollars a draft during the PSU-MIchigan game...lol...and im officially offering money to anyone from oregon who gets it cheap for me and mails it!!

I feel Rogue is one of the top Craft Breweries in America. It's up there with Dogfish Head, Stone Brewery, and some others with a reputation for high quality ales.
When it comes to price, if you're looking for prices that are comparable to the "big 3" (Bud, Miller, Coors), you'll be looking for a long time.
It's all about quality vs. quantity.
Personally, I don't look at craft brews as being expensive, I look at mainstream brews as being cheap.
Dead Guy is one of their "staple" (popular) beers. While it is quite tasty in its own right, if your looking for top end Rogue ales, try:

Old Crustacean Barleywine

At 11.5% ABV, it'll keep you warm on a cold winter night. :twisted:

But once again, it'll cost you (~$13 for a 750ml bottle).

Mocha Porter

This one will run about the same price as Dead Guy. It also happens to be John Maier's (the owner/brewmaster of Rogue) favorite brew. At 5.1% it won't put you away like the Old Crustacean, but it'll still keep you warm after a few of them.

thanks for that info...im not that mad that its costly i guess...just looking for a way to beat the system...cuz the beer is worth every cent...and i will have to try those othe ones as well

If you're in PA, I'd recommend looking for some Dogfish Head. The brewery is in Delaware, so I would assume you should find it no problem.
Their 60 minute IPA (~6%) is award winning; as is their 90 minute IPA (9%).
Sam Calagione (owner/brewer) did some research and found a recipe for a brew found in King Midas' tomb.
