I've got a number of favourite books.
"europe" - norman davies (my fave, factual look at europes history since it's birth.)
"Che" - (jonny lee anderson, excellent coverage, albeit slightly biased, but truely remarkable research, biography)
"Black sun" - nicholas goodrick (not many of you would know this)
"glue" - Irvine welsh (my fave irvine welsh novel (having read them all) combines hedonism, reality and friendship.)
"Wild swans" - jung chang ( a factual book written in the perspect of 3 generations of chinese ladies up until, during and after the commie-revoloution...excellent read)
"Guard! guard!" - Terry Pratchet (fictional 'fantasy' comedy, so cleverly written, i p[ck up new joke every time I re-read it)

"The Neverending Story" ~ Michael Ende
Its been my favorite since the first time i read it in 5th grade. I even have one of the editions w/ 2 colors of ink. Fantastic imagination on that fellow.

2. The Metamorphosis (Kafka) - a man turns into a big bug. A sad (short) story. I liked Der Prozess (The Trial) more.
Great books! Gimme some more reading suggestions.
