You think that's horrible? At least 50 people have died in Greece as result of 170 different wildfire outbreaks throughout the country.

Hey Aegnor: you're belittling a tragedy that happened in British Columbia...one of THE worse places for wildfires in the world....every year we lose frickin' areas the size of small countries...and over 50 loggers, firefighters, and innocent civilians are killed each year. But this is different. Sorry you felt you had to "one-up" the horrible deaths of two people because it failed to impress you.

Yep, 2 deaths are nothing nowadays, you need to push the double figures to impress me.

The point is 2 people died a horrible death. Whether it's 1 or a 1,000, dieing by fire is a horrible death. Once heard a sound bite of Apollo 1 cockpit when it went up in flames with Grissom,White and Chaffee inside. No actor can ever imitate the sound they made that day. It still leaves me with chills.

The point is that people die. The original poster mentioned that 2 people died in a baloon fire. In reply I brought another recent horrible incident. I don't understand why Glide thought I was underestimating those 2 people's lives.

Eh, bushfires. Horrible things. Every year we get them, always lose some wildlife, suburbs, blah blah blah. Always smokes the whole damn sky, and man it's annoying. Even if the bushfire is 2 hours away.

And Gold Knight, that was pretty funny.

And damn balloon. I'm guessing the balloon fell over and the flame just caught the material or something, I wasn't bothered reading the link.

The most terrible thing about this is that their families had to watch as they burned to death.

I'm fairly certain "the most terribible thing about this" was getting burnt alive while plummeting to the earth from the sky.
