Look, that was only a few people, expect that to represent over 300 million? By the way, youtube is a bad choice to fall back on for info.

Actually, it was CNNNN, which takes the piss out of things.
And the one thing that shocked me the most, was that someone of
old age doesn't know how many World Wars there have been.

Uhm, of course, but how many adults do not know who won the Vietnam War, or how many World Wars there have been? What about the religion for Israel?

three quarters of the teaching staff at my school did not know what countries we fought with during the Cold War...
and seriously...where is the Berlin Wall...how hard is that? Country that starts with a U? What religion are Buddhist Monks? How many sides does a triangle have...there is no excuse for that last one especially...

Sounds like you live in some total backwater. And I thought southwest Washington was heavy on the hick-side.......
I don't recall my peers in high school being THAT dumb, but then, some were very close.

Really? Then explain to me how Bush got elected twice, if we are not truly a nation of morons. "All Americans are not like this", but i'd say it's clear that they're in the majority.

I graduated in '05, so it wasn't THAT long ago. Maybe your school is underfunded.

EDIT (cursed spelling error......)
Also helps that I have an above average IQ and was reading at college-level when I was in middle-school. A public school, mind you. And yet, they still put me in the 'special education' classes since I was in 1st grade! First the 'special' special ed, then the one for the delinquets and emotionally troubled.
Ah Public school...... I knew even then it was going to perdition in a hand-basket.

What an excellent video, kitten, thanks for that. It's always nice to have one's prejudices confirmed.

I find it odd that so many people when sticking their pins on that board landed on Australia. Oh no, we're now North Korea!

Oh, if you didn't notice, it was because CNNNN changed the name of Australia to North Korea and Iran.

"What state does KFC come from"
"No freaking idea"
"Do you know what it stands for?"
"Kentucky Fried Chicken"
