REad this article. Odd, most of the games, they say have bad plots, I disargee with. In fact, those are the ones with plots I like. The games, I would of said, are the games, where you just go to randomly shoot people. Or games like GTA (Worst plot EVAR!)

I posted this in another thread but decided to make it a different conversation. What do you guys think.

Probably Fire Emblem and Final Fantsay games, with some good plots. (STill haven't played FF, though. )

Agreed, though Football games are intended to have no game plot! Though most FF games have great plots, though FFX is probably a joint first with FFVII

QFT! Old RPGs like this one and Fallout were great plot-wise. Else, all Monkey Island games.

I'm with J-Duds here, except for the Pokemon review of course. Other then that, they're ripping on all the classics. In other words, joke site.

hmm, recently played:

Best plot: Beyond Good and Evil
Also interesting in so far as you are only supposed to shoot pictures of the evil guys. But it's really a great game with a superb storyline and a great soundtrack.

Worst plot: Sudeki
I thought the last game where you got 4 randomly assorted heroes that have to save the world from complete oblivion because the good god is a lazy bum and can't defeat the evil god himself was made for one of the early consoles, like NES, maybe the original Playstation, but it seems someone's still at it and bringing it to the PC. Luckily I only payed 1.99€ for it, which I can afford, and the graphics are alright.


Ever played:
Best plot: This is a really hard one. "Day of the Tentacle", is definitely one of the favourites for this award, but then again, "Starcraft" (non-expansion), although an unlikely candidate might also have a shot at it. Of course, there's next to no development while you play, but the game more than makes up for it in between. And many of the "Legend of Zelda" games will have a decent chance, but if one has to stand for all I think it will have to be "Link Awakening" just because it was for the Gameboy and shows how much can be achieved on such a small system.

Worst plot: Difficult, maybe "Battletoads in Ragnaroks World", did you know that a giant robot can be defeated by throwing fist-sized rocks at it? Or maybe "Warioland"... First you work your way through 40 levels and then that damn plumber comes by in a helicopter and steals the treasure you just stole from the pirates. I'm not even going to go into the "Doom" and "Duke Nukem" games, the plot there is merely a pretext for taking a break from blowing things up. Or Diablo, while otherwise fun to play and with a good athmosphere, the underlying plot wouldn't have done for even a preliminary draft on a napkin for one of the earliest fantasy novels.

best game i played is fallout series (1 & 2).and eagerly awaiting third part!

Best Plot: Blast Corps-There's several nuclear tankers which can't slow down for some reason or other, all headed for a bunch of houses and such, and for some reason the only thing we can get to the scene fast enough is a poorly equipped wrecking truck. Oh btw if you can knock everything down it's all somehow ok.

What an awesome game though.

Of the games that I've played, I'd say The Longest Journey (the original) had the best plot.
