So, the other night, we're sitting with the wife deciding what to watch, and she suggested we watch Narvik.

Woah! Are you serious?

Yes, she's serious.

Forty years of dating/marrying women has taught me that women don't like war movies. My first wife simply made disgusted noises, my second wife would actually go into hysterics at the suggestion to watch a war movie. So by the time I got to wife #3, I never even suggested it.

Now here she is, suggesting Narvik. Wow. "Dear, are you sure?" I ask, full of trepidation. Is this a joke, a mistake, or some kind of well-baited trap?

She's sure. She wants to check out Narvik. Okay, here we go.

We both loved the movie. And for the first time in my life, I have a woman who likes war movies. Hosannah, hosannah, hosannah! Sis! Boom! Rah!

Didn't realize you'd gotten married DoD...congrats.

I remember when Midway came out - went and saw in the brand new theater built out in the boonies where I grew up...I was 13!
Was the roll out of some "new" sound technique. Great flick. Great memory hadn't thot about in 45 years

I liked Midway, yeah. Can't go wrong with Charleton Heston.

Narvik was pretty good, by the way.
