The population of the United States is now 331,449,281. The results of the 24th Census were released today.

The GOP should gain a minimum of three House seats based on apportionment, while Democrats should lose a minimum of three.

https://www.politico.com/news/2021/04/2 ... ade-484653

States that will gain House seats that will probably be Republican:
- Montana (+1)
- Oregon (+1 ... Oregon had 40% vote for the GOP but only has 20% GOP in its congressional delegation, the extra seat should swing R as the Oregon Rats are no longer able to gerrymander their way into delegation control)
- Texas (+2)

States that will gain House seats, status unknown:
- North Carolina (+1)
- Florida (+1)
- Colorado (+1)

States that will gain House seats that will probably be Democrat:
N/A

States that will lose House seats that will probably be Democrat:
- California (-1)
- Illinois (-1)

States that will lose House seats that will probably be Republican:
- West Virginia (-1)

States that will lose House seats, status unknown:
- Michigan (-1)
- Ohio (-1)
- New York (-1)
- Pennsylvania (-1)

Best part is that if New York had 89 more people it wouldn't have lost a seat for the first time since 1790!!! Sucks to have a Rat governor!

Mid-term elections are Nov. 2022. A lot can happen between now and then. There are some 18 months until then.

If the pandemic hit one year later, (that is, this year, 2021) President Trump would likely have been re-elected. The economy was doing great and that should have been sufficient to see his re-election.

So, do not count your chickens before they hatch, as "they" say.

He is the president de jure and serving as president in exile from Florida. Unfortunately, Kamala Harris is currently exercising the powers of the office due to her illegal takeover.

Even God said it was stolen.

I the Lord see all and hear all that has been done to take an election and give it to a person that is not qualified to lead this country.

ILLEGAL? what court made THAT ruling? And please do not tell me the Court of Saxi. Or the Court of Public Opinion.

Who is in the White House? Who was there to be sworn into Office.

Who propose $4 billion dollars to spend on FREE childcare, FREE pre-School Education, AND FREE College (for 2 years)???? Did President Trump send those proposals to Congress? I Hope NOT...!

I saw a flag near my house: "Trump is STILL MY President". Did Saxi move NEAR ME? I Hope NOT...! :)

Biden qualifications to be president:
2 terms as Vice President of the U.S.
6 terms as U.S. Senator (36 years)
-Senate Foreign Relations Committee (for decades, including years as Chairman & Ranking Member)
-Senate Judiciary Committee (for decades, including years as Chairman & Ranking Member)
Law degree

Trump qualification to be president:
He's a natural born citizen of the United States
He's been a resident of USA for at least 14 years
He's 35 years of age or older

I sometimes wonder if god is trying to speak through you, and you are just ignoring him and writing what you want to write.

You MISSED the point. $4 billion dollars taken from someone or somewhere to provide FREE stuff for those who do NOTHING to earn it. $4 billion coming from taxes (supposedly, only on the RICH, supposedly) to give to the poor, That is called the Robin Hood effect.

That means, for example, Llama, that you are taxed so that a poor person can get FREE stuff. I assume that Canada has similar things going on in there social and socialist programs.

So many things wrong with that statement I hardly know where to begin.

First of all, only a small part of the $4 billion is targetted at the poor. Large parts are for such things as overdue improvements to highways, drinking water, electric grids, the internet, public schools, etc., which are all things that are used by rich and poor alike. America's infrastructure has been shortchanged and largely ignored by every president since Eisenhower, so it's a long-overdue set of fixes to a totally bipartisan problem.

The single largest line item is the stimulus cheques, which are targeted at not only the poor but the middle class. The very rich are left out but the cutoff point is pretty high. Most people who would call themselves middle class qualify.

The portion of the spending that is specifically targeted to the poor -- things like daycare subsidies and stuff -- hardly deserve the pejorative "free stuff". When a single mother gets subsidized daycare, it's so that she can go to work and slave away for the system. It's hardly 'free stuff'. It's a targeted subsidy that in the long run is more a gift to her employer than to her. Whoopdie-doo! She gets to bust her ass for minimum wage while someone else raises her kids, and in the end she might have $50 a week more than if she had stayed home on welfare. It's more a gift to the billionaire owners of 7-11, who will find it easier to fill their employment vacancies.

In general I find the whole tenor of your post offensive. Especially the statement "those who do nothing to earn it" which tries to perpetuate the stereotype that poor people are mostly non-workers. In fact, the vast majority of the poor are working poor, people going to work every day, some of them juggling two or three jobs, but victims of a system where employers are concerned above all with keeping wages low and making sure the poor never accumulate enough wealth to break out of the poverty trap.

I had not heard this!!!

So you are saying all these childcare workers, pre-school workers, teachers are gonna work for free?! Is that also true of the construction jobs, highway worker jobs, electrians ect... are they going to work for free too?

what a great deal for the tax payer, God Bless Biden!

Oh course we will lose out on the tax revenue and economic growth that we would have generated by making these paying jobs but you can't have your cake and eat it to I suppose. Spending tax dollars to create paying jobs is sooooo 1939, welcome to the gig economy amiright

You missed WHICH $4 triilion proposal I was discussing. You are referring to the Infrastructure bill. I was talking about the proposal for childcare and free (2 year) college and free childcare.

You refer to this:
The American Jobs Plan is an investment in America that will create millions of good jobs, rebuild our country’s infrastructure, and position the United States to out-compete China.

I will forgive you as there are so many President Biden proposals to spend money that they can be confusing.

Please see the thread:
https://www.conquerclub.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=227251&start=50

I am referring to his sweeping American Families Plan :

WASHINGTON (AP) — President Joe Biden will call for free preschool for all three- and four-year-old children, a $200 billion investment to be rolled out as part of his sweeping American Families Plan being unveiled Wednesday in an address to Congress.

The administration said the historic investment would benefit 5 million children and save the average family $13,000. It calls for providing federal funds to help the states offer preschool, with teachers and other employees earning $15 an hour.

“These investments will give American children a head start and pave the way for the best-educated generation in U.S. history,” the administration said.

I think: $6 T for COVID issues; $4T on infrastructure; another $4T on education; and some $4T on Green energy. I may be mistaken on details and I am not sure if the Green Energy is a stand alone proposal or rolled into infrastructure.
