No particular reason, just love this scene and felt like posting it

That is a good one. I have never watched that movie. I have really enjoyed watching another movie several times, with George C Scott playing a fictional General of the United States Army.

Since war movies seems to be the topic, I will recommend Le Grande Illusion.

You probably won't regret watching it, if war movies are at all your thing.

Some highlights:
1) Beautiful footage
2) they sing It's a Long Way to Tipperary many times (at least once, possibly 2 or more times)
3) the sense of loss of the aristocracy is portrayed very poignantly. You might even get caught up in wistfully yearning for the nobility of yore. That's a major plot in World War 1 that isn't really covered in modern movies.
