What great strategies?

Do you mean fighting past the point where victory was hopeless, thereby forcing the north to burn the south on its’ march to the sea?
That strategy?

Do you mean refusing to arm a significant portion of your adult male population because you can’t arm them and keep them enslaved too?

Or perhaps you mean the general strategy of owning humans, and convincing yourself that it’s OK to own people because God has told you you are better than them?

(Maybe it’s logical to acknowledge the anniversary of his birthday, but to call it his 214th birthday is a misnomer.)
