The situation is not identical I realize... but there are similarities.
The fact is the country is divided... and rightly or wrongly (I think wrongly but it doesn’t matter) people don’t trust the system and think it;s all rigged against them. Attacking their symbol in a partisan / mostly Democrat only Impeachment only confirms their flawed logic. Sometime, when you have a toddler screaming and throwing a. temper tantrum the best course of action is to ignore it. It’s hard to ignore but it’s the right move.
A second impeachment will not result in a conviction in the Senate. It’s doomed to fail and it accomplishes nothing. It would be better if Democrats in Congress could work WITH Republicans and come up with a Bipartisan Censure statement. This has no consequences in Law, but it would send a message of unity, not a further message of division.

Best plan... do nothing now except maybe Censure him. Get him off Twitter. 5 years from now when temperates are cooler quietly have the IRS prosecute him for something.
