Just came across this article. Sounded a bit like something DoomYoshi might post. Maybe related to posts between Doom and Armati if state boarders really exist.

Nationalities are imagined definitions, moreso today than in the past.
They are ideas.
That said, ideas have power... especially if enough people believe those ideas.
These ideas create our reality, and we live in that reality.

I would extend it further past just modern gender identities, but yeah, I think jimboston succinctly described the general conception of social constructs.
