The IDB / TIPP poll - the most accurate poll of the 2016 election and given an "A" rating by 538, has released its last monthly survey before transitioning to daily polling next week.

Biden holds a slight lead.

Biden leads President Trump, 48.6% to 45.9%. Another 1.5% say they'll vote for another candidate, while 4% are not sure who they'll support.

The elderly (who disproportionately suffer from dementia) and the very young (who are too inexperienced to know what they're talking about) support Biden.

Biden has a solid lead among voters age 18-24 (70%-21%) and voters 65 and up (51.5%-44%).

Everyone between these extremes - those 25 to 64 - support Trump.

Trump leads among voters age 25-44 (48%-46%) and 45-64 (52%-43%).

The poll also reveals Trump is earning 37% of the Hispanic vote and 15% of the Black vote.

* The highest ever share of the Hispanic vote by a Republican was 44% taken by George Bush in 2004.
* The highest ever share of the Black vote by a Republican (after 1975) was 17% taken by Gerald Ford in 1976.

Trump has made major outreach to the Hispanic community since taking power, which shows in his polling, edging towards the 40% mark. He has engaged in sophisticated, big data-driven and Web 2.0 tactics to reach this demographic. For instance, last year he was photographed posing with a Taco Salad.



Biden's attempts to reach out to Latino voters has fallen flat on its face.

Biden is winning Hispanics right now, but just by 28 points in an average of live interview polls taken over the last few months. Because I've averaged nearly 20 polls, we can feel confident that this shift in the Hispanic vote is real. Moreover, it's quite consistent with an earlier June analysis I conducted that had Biden winning Hispanics by less than 30 points.

Nope. If they could they wouldn't vote for someone who eats them (Trump). They'd vote for the guy who refuses to eat them (Biden).

He has consistently refused to unambiguously embrace taco salads. While he has repeatedly endorsed WHITE bread sandwiches he has regularly crawfished when asked his thoughts about Taco Salads.

Why doesn't he just come out and tell us his true feelings about Taco Salads? What is he hiding?
