Specifically I want to know which state fair has the best fare?

I'm guessing Saxi has probably been to more than most people. That's ok, which one is your favorite?

Edit : Yeah, I just want to know about your best experience with corn dogs, pizza, waffle fries, chili cheese fries, root beer, etc. etc.

I hope not. I've been to one state fair and three county fairs.

Figures, I botched that. Hold up.

Better? State, county, borough, shire, Provence... Anywhere they have a trailer cooking some greasy treats that will make you smile and send Duke into a rant about deep fried carbs.

I love the Ex in Toronto, although my two favorite fry trucks are both in Huntsville. One was the first time I had Newfie fries (poutine with stuffing) and that was at the Huntsville fair, which took place on a dreary day. The other fry truck was called Muskoka Momma's, but last time I went up there she had gone out of business and now it was Thai food in a truck that was nothing special. I wish she was still there because her jalapeno cheese fries were amazing.

Do you get the red white and blue Rootbeer barrel there? It used to be pretty amazing. The guy made the Rootbeer syrup and would adjust the recipe for each location. Then in the 1990s the mighty Coca-Cola corporation bought the rights to beverages at the greatest outdoor show on earth and then it switched to substandard Barq's.

Oh well.

Once we grabbed a corn dog not expecting much. They must have just changed the oil and cooked a few fresh ones. It was awesome. Just a random stand, they never repeated it.

Here in my state the legislature has never designated an official state fair so two different county fairs have declared themselves the state fair. Ergo, we have two fairs claiming to be the state fair, but neither is actually it.

We were at the Kitsap county fairgrounds but there was no fair on at the time. There was a demolition derby but we did not attend.

I think he is in the state of denial about eating food at the fair.
