Yes. American police departments don't use water cannon, even though it's one of the most effective ways at controlling an illegal assembly, due to complaints water is dangerous.

Police in Germany, France, and Belgium all use water cannon to great effect. Ironically, most of their water cannon trucks are manufactured in North America.

If regular protesters are being dragged into unmarked vans and driven off to undisclosed locations (read: baton up the ass) then I can’t imagine rioters are exactly getting the kid gloves:

Agreed, good article about the problems sometimes caused by the state and city police in the USA being too soft on rioters.

BBC news wrote:In a nearly 1,700-word statement, Mr Wolf blamed state and city authorities for failing to "restore order". He said their response had "emboldened the violent mob as it escalates violence day after day".

Aren't these protesters calling for the abolition of the police and USA? I'd say that the mayor of Portland is almost akin to the southerners that seceded. Hence, the feds involvement.

Oh man, a fascist thinks local police aren't killing enough people, there's a shock.

I mean his name is literally Chad Wolf. Does it get any more racist-bro than that?
