.....In the movie The Undefeated...John Wayne and Rock Hudson....Hudson plays a Confederate Col. ,Wayne plays a Former U.S.Col. driving. 3,000 horses....They meet a couple of times in Mexico......Hudson sends his Sgt. With a message to Wayne.....
Wayne to the Sgt.,"You know what this says"...
Sgt...,"Yes...Sir..."
Wayne...,"Must of been a lot of words in camp about this?"
Sgt...."Yes,there were a lot of words,smiling...."
One of Wayne's men..."What's It's say,...Col../Wayne"
Wayne answers his man..."You're not going to believe this.... We've just been invited to A 4th of July party.. ".....You have to love a movie ...That has Confederates inviting Yankee cowboys to a 4th of July Party in the middle of Mexico... ConfederateSS.out!(The Blue and Silver Rebellion)...

The Civil War had ended (in the movie timeline) when the Southern Soldiers invited the Northern Soldiers to the party. So at that point they weren’t Confederates, were they?

Also, they Northern and Southern soldiers go into a fight at the party, so not a very heartwarming message of unity.
