They've opened the floodgates on the money mills. They're printing worthless money at an astonishing rate. They'll probably be able to keep the Ponzi scheme going for another year or two, at which point whoever is in office will take the blame for Trump's actions. I don't think anyone deserves that. I want Trump to be in office to take the heat for the mess he has created.
Yeah it's starting to look like Obama having to take over a crumbling economy for Bush...
I think Trump wants power at any cost, but most of the republicans in congress have made the calculation it's better to punt right now and get 'amazing field position' as they don't want to own the very difficult few years ahead of us.
the worse part is that if trump remains in office he will always find a scapegoat to blame and fire. Nothing is ever his fault even though he's the commander in chief. but yeah... joey will get hammered, because the real economical crisis hasn't started yet, and it will be violent.
Well... if he wins (Trump) he's never going to be in any election ever again... He will either lose power in 4 years (that will almost certainly be worse then the last 4 year) and after that he will either ride off into sunset or try something crazy revolutionary type of thing to retain power like all his dictator buddies have done in their countries. I think most people find this idea incredulous, but I think there is good chance he would try something like this... what is unclear is would he have support amongst republicans in the gov't. I feel like anything is 'on the table' as a possibility with him.
If I was an oddsmaker my odds today would be 60% biden wins, 40% chance trump wins. but i think that will flop back in Trumps direction in the coming months.
I think Biden would be a good president personally. I think what he really needs to do is basically promise like 6-7 of the people he ran in the primary against into positions within his gov't and have them campaign for him. Basically do a 'superfriends' type of election strategy so people that aren't passionate about him, but can get really excited about voting for warren as the VP, or Klobuchar as DOJ head, buttigeg in there somewhere and Yang as health and human services director ect ect...\ get those people excited to come out and vote. Not sure how Bernie would fit in, but he could easily find a home for everyone else and just send the message that if you think Biden is too ' Old, white, moderate, whatever' well, he has a strong team around him unlike the donald who will employ anyone who will take the job and then spit on them and call them stupid after they quit or get fired.
I'd also just add... anyone who feels Trump has 'no chance' in this election because of polls... Hillary was up by 10-12 pts in some polls this week in 2016.
