Doesn't she have some bat shit religious views? I don't think she's so much as a shoo-in as you think. The thing about somebody like Opera is that she has a pure public perception. Few people have ever had a motive to throw mud at her, she has a patina about her. Trump has a 40 year public image as a dick, so turning him into a mud monster didn't really hurt him.

Why, what would change?
Anyway, the OP is 100% going to happen. There is no way Donald Trump can beat Hillary Rodham Clinton Joe Biden.

Are we going to be granted statehood like Hawaii and get to vote if our prime minister breaks our country? Or will we just be a territory like Puerto Rico?

They've opened the floodgates on the money mills. They're printing worthless money at an astonishing rate. They'll probably be able to keep the Ponzi scheme going for another year or two, at which point whoever is in office will take the blame for Trump's actions. I don't think anyone deserves that. I want Trump to be in office to take the heat for the mess he has created.

And why did you change your avatar to a convicted sexual assaulting felon? Really doesn't give anything you say much credibility.....
jimboston wrote:Right now I’d bet on Biden... not because I want him, but because there are only 2 real choices.
It’s very sad when both options suck so badly.
That said I think Joe sucks less, so...
I don’t think Joe’s gonna win because I want him to win, and I think it’s early and the situation could still change.
Low probability but something bad could come out on Joe... or shit, he’s old he could get sick.
Barring that... it’s coming down to the combination of...
Economy / “Mood” of Country Re. Covid & BLM
Mostly the economy... which impacts the others...
If Covid tappers off and the economy bounces back, even moderately... Trump may still win.
If Covid lingers but at low levels, and we get another bill which helps prop people up economically (even though it’s temporary)... Trump may still win.
If the Economy continues to tank and we get a more severe 2nd round of Covid... it’s likely Trump loses.
BLM can impact the mood on the fringe if things are close... but BLM can be used by Trump to help fire up his base.
There’s also the prospect that Trump could steal the election... between BLM firing up his base and lockdowns preventing people from voting / confusing people about the process... I would be disappointed but not shocked is Trump was able to steal a few key States. That’s only possible if it’s close.
All said... if I’m a betting man I think the mood and economy are working against Trump... but I admit my ‘mood meter’ is limited to the Northeast.
Even here (in ultra-liberal Massachusetts) there is a strong minority who are so in-the-bag for Trump and aren’t blaming him for economic issues. They’re blaming the liberals for “shutting us down” and think Trump is working for them to reopen. There are still people who think all this “Covid stuff is fake news”. History tells us it’s the economy though... and incumbents win if the economy is good... what counts as “good” maybe has changed.

Yeah it's starting to look like Obama having to take over a crumbling economy for Bush...
I think Trump wants power at any cost, but most of the republicans in congress have made the calculation it's better to punt right now and get 'amazing field position' as they don't want to own the very difficult few years ahead of us.

the worse part is that if trump remains in office he will always find a scapegoat to blame and fire. Nothing is ever his fault even though he's the commander in chief. but yeah... joey will get hammered, because the real economical crisis hasn't started yet, and it will be violent.
