Some people also want to knock William Henry Harrison off the list since he no longer owned slaves while in office, but he was barely a president.

I believe the Republican Party was formed to end slavery in general.

The Democratic Party is also the world's oldest political party still in existence and the Republican Party is the third. The UK Conservatives are number two.
