... for me it was frustrating.
It was a civil suit where a company I worked for was involved in a car accident.
The ambulance chasing lawyer was combative and tried twisting my words to suit his purpose.
He failed but they got a settlement anyway from our insurance who looked at costs of defending the suit versus the costs of just paying.
The people suing “packed the vehicle”.... it’s a term used to describe the situation we had...
Our driver rear ended a car at low speed. At the time of the accident our vehicle had two people and their vehicle had two people, and no one was hurt. At the time of the lawsuit somehow magically their vehicle had three additional occupants... and all were in dire pain. My driver was still employed but the other employee had quit and moved away and wasn’t coming back to help our defense. So we had a case where our one driver’s word was going up against the word of five people... and since it was a low speed minimal damage accident the police never showed, so we had no proof that they added three extra occupants.
Frustrating.
