Costello's ghost still walks the grounds of The house Washington's great,great,great granddaughter lives in...Now it's the 1940's...and Abbott's character visits the house... Abbott,Costello,and Washington's great, great, great granddaughter,meet ,find the letter in an old clock above the fireplace...When Costello hands her the letter,being one of Washington's relatives...The curse is broken... Costello can now go to Heaven...after waiting all those years...When he finally gets to The Pearly Gates....The Gates are locked...With a huge sign on them...Closed, Washington's Birthday...
