The World Health Organization and other global health experts have today slammed America's politically-motivated stunt of flying its nationals out of China and imposing a Trump Travel Ban (Tm) on anyone who has recently been in China. They say such measures are actually harmful to the fight against Coronavirus, might lead to it spreading more rapidly, and that the US should immediately cease risking the world's health just for the sake of a few cheap PR jabs:

Global health officials have advised against the bans.

The WHO has actually warned that closing borders could accelerate the spread of the virus, if travellers enter countries unofficially.

"Travel restrictions can cause more harm than good by hindering info-sharing, medical supply chains and harming economies," the head of the WHO, Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, said last week.

The WHO instead recommends introducing screening at border crossings.

China retaliated against US tariffs by imposing tariffs on U.S. drugs and medical supplies. Now their inferior scientific infrastructure has led to them having to lift their tariffs. But the U.S. tariffs on China remain. And that's how you WIN A TRADE WAR!!!

also.. I thought screening people at a border was supposed to be Racist... oh wait... that only applies to America when Americans do it...

so... Ma'aM now supports refusing entry of refugees from a country in a emergency if they have a pre-existing medical condition..

China has now started physically forcing people to be disinfected. If nothing else at least the place will smell better.
