After three days of Iran threatening "severe retaliation" to the American strike that left 10 of their senior officials dead, the Islamic Republic this evening finally struck back in a forceful manner.

Earlier, the website of the Federal Deposit Library Program - a small government library that lends agricultural and land use pamphlets to other agencies - was hacked and replaced with a statement in broken English from the Islamic Republic of Iran, plus an animated Gif of an Iranian flag. It took more than 20 minutes to restore the website.

YARRRR!!! They got us good, boys! Oh well, I guess we learned our lesson.

While your tiny little mind is high on some sort of despicable emotion, one which celebrates with anticipation what disaster is to come.. millions and millions hate your country even more, and one nation that up until now didn't have a clear direct reason to go kamikaze on innocent civilian population now has the motivation backed up by international agreement. Their pride got hurt, and they can do it. I hope the US manages to stop them before there's another catastrophe like 9/11.

According to France and Germany, Iran doesn't have nuclear weapons.

I just read a title "Iran will feel it must retaliate". That's exactly what I was trying to say in my post.

Now they feel they have no choice but to retaliate.

ANd to your response, I think different reports is they can do it, and the US just gave them the motivation.

Well they did retaliate. They hacked a library's website.

I think it's reasonable to assume that's the limit of their capabilities. Their Air Force is still flying vintage 1970s aircraft.

Trump has placed the U.S. in another Win-Win situation.

NATO is convening an emergency meeting of the military committee tomorrow. Should Iran make any attempt to attack the United States, the Atlantic Treaty will demand France, Germany, the UK and the rest of the cattle car of dwarfs and morons who pass for our allies defend the U.S. by going to war against Iran.

- If they fail to do so then we'll have good cause to withdraw from NATO and leave Europe to be dismembered by Russia, which is what we really want.
- If they actually do race to our "defense", we'll have an international alliance of democracies supporting our actions against a dictatorship which terrorizes the precious gays, thereby legitimizing our policies.

India Aligns with America Against Iran!

The United States has just assassinated General Soleimani, who was often described as Iran’s most charismatic leader. India has come out with a most anodyne statement after the assassination. It doesn’t condemn the assassination. In fact it does not even call it an assassination. It calls it a killing, as if an ordinary man was killed.

And then it advocates restraint, without specifying who should exercise restraint. Clearly the statement is very pro-American.

I want the Ayatollah to go kaiser Söhse on trump’s family. It’s too easy not to care about all the americans in Iran, or the repercussions towards americans anywhere in the world. Trump needs a few hitpoints in his own family. Certainly not Eric and Tiffany. The other 3!!!

you put Iran in a position in which they think they must retaliate, hurt their pride. if they don't have nuclear weapons it's even worse (i had typed nuclear capabilities originally, but changed it because thought that could mean many things).. because my point is that they will likely commit a terrorist attack, because it's what they can do. you wouldn't expect China to commit a terrorist attack after an act of war, because they have more to lose and because they can attack militar objectives.

my whole point is that while you guys (saxi, hitred, tzor, jim, etc) are cheering and rationalising the attack at different grades, from excusing it under some sort of plausible rationale to a horny teenage cheerleading form with a twisted mind.. what happened will most likely cause a lot of innocent civilians deaths.
