After Greta Thunberg was named person of the year, the Biff Tannen impersonator in the White House threw a tantrum, tweeting “So ridiculous. Greta must work on her Anger Management problem, then go to a good old fashioned movie with a friend! Chill Greta, Chill!”
Instead of being offended, Greta fielded the attack beautifully, making it her new status.

I think it is way to early to elevate her. Aung San Suu Kyi was raised up in 1991 an now today...genocide?
I like Greta VanFleet better.

Like Macaulay Culkin, this chick has zero chance of growing into a well rounded adult.

Fair point about Aung San Suu Kyi -- I'll bet the Norwegian parliament is still cringing!
Time's Man/Person of the Year isn't about being high and mighty, though, it's about being newsworthy. Not everyone on the list is an angel. In fact, many war criminals have made the list. It's actually quite rare for a nice person like Greta to make the list, which to me makes it extra sweet.

If she had real power from an appointment, board or even elected she wouldn't be so well liked. If she could raise your taxes on gas 5% lets say. It's super fun to criticize from the outside. It's almost free. I once went down and talked to the sitting city council. Told them they were wrong!
In hind site they were right. I didn't have all the information they did.
The next post will be NP says Trump more newsworthy.

Honnestly i hate this girl as a media entity. Totally built by her parents... her sister was raised to defend feminism and she's all about global warming. What does a 16yo know about life? She's also got asperger syndrome, and other than saying "how dare you" and dumb shit like that she can't have a decent conversation. Everything about her is staged and dumb. She can go f*ck a polar bear.

Anger management
"Anger management is a psycho-therapeutic program for anger prevention and control. It has been described as deploying anger successfully. Anger is frequently a result of frustration, or of feeling blocked or thwarted from something the subject feels is important. Anger can also be a defensive response to underlying fear or feelings of vulnerability or powerlessness. Anger management programs consider anger to be a motivation caused by an identifiable reason which can be logically analyzed, and if suitable worked toward."
sure sounds like Greta...

Almost. These days it's about being influential, unless you influence the world in a way that gets Americans mad and threatens TIME's sales if you're put on the front cover. Apparently a big reason the NY mayor was put on the cover in 2001 instead of bin Laden (the latter being the more obvious choice) is that after Imam Khomeini was made TIME person of the year in the 1970s a ton of Americans started spitting blood and threatening to boycott them, and TIME didn't want a repeat of that.
Like how the Nobel Peace Prize is basically just a treat given to people as a reward for sucking up to the West, not an actual, objective recognition of serious efforts to serve world peace.

D3A7H is probably old and cool. Or he's a kid whose father always plays classic rock in the car. I was watching a live version on the yootoob and decided that needed to be in this thread.

honnestly there was this one time like in the 00 when they showed a picture of Macaulay Culkin looking pretty bad with a long face long hair and under drugs... that picture went viral and everybody said that basically everything went horrible for him. I saw him in an interview a couple of years ago or so, and the guy seemed totally fine. His dad was a bad actor and he tried to expoit all his kids, Macaulay had to work as an adult and his parents were stealing all his money until he managed to get an early emancipation in order to be home alone somewhere. The dude has earned tons of money when we were in middle school or so... I'm exactly his age and grew up watching a few of his movies. Basically he just didn't want to give a f*ck about hollywood or anything anymore and just went his own way, doing the artistic stuff he wanted and when he wanted without caring about being succesfull, but just to entertain himself. Who hasn't tried any drugs ever... maybe it was a problem at some point, maybe he's still doing drugs but he isn't a junkie as he was presented. Just a guy who decided to have fun and do what he wanted with the millions of dollars he cashed in as a kid due to his talents.

Macaulay Culkin changed his middle name to " Macaulay Culkin "
so his name now is Macaulay Macaulay Culkin Culkin

No. Unless it's old fashioned concrete; asphalt creates thermals that blocks the wind. Unless you want to put solar panels over the parking lot.

Good for you ... those plastic things kill fish when they are thrown into the sea.

Watch your tongue or I'll deport you to Beijing. Air quality in the United States has significantly improved over the decades. SOURCE "Air quality based on concentrations of the common pollutants has improved nationally since 1980."

in order to save the planet.. we must cut down all the trees to make paper...
but.....
these climate change chaos people ae most likely to be Animal rights people too.. right...?
SO, how do you plan on holding all of that paper together..? - Glue..
what is Glue made of...?
--> Raw Materials
" Glue manufacturers obtain bones and tissues of animals from slaughterhouses, tanneries, and meat packing companies; it is no coincidence that the world's largest glue manufacturer is the dairy called Borden Company. The animal remains that are the raw materials for glue may include ears, tails, scraps of hide or skin, scrapings from the fleshy sides of hides, tendons, bones, and feet. Similarly, manufacturers of fish glue obtain bones, heads, scales, and skins of fish from canneries and other processing plants. "

So the comparison to Macaulay Culkin is more apt than it originally seemed... since she’s essentially an actor delivering someone else view and pretending it’s her own. Why do we can about this specific girl again?
