Separatist law-breakers in Spain's Catalonia region have been jailed for holding an illegal 'referendum' in an attempt to undermine national unity and integrity. The world stands with the leaders of Spain and the EU in expressing its relief that Spain's government has stepped in to punish this sedition and prevent Spain succumbing to mob intimidation.

Spain's Supreme Court has sentenced nine Catalan separatist leaders to between nine and 13 years in prison for sedition over their role in an independence referendum in 2017.

In the wake of these court rulings, Spain has been rocked by police-rioter clashes much the same as those of Hong Kong:

I wonder how long it will be before American politicians and their gullible electorate are proclaiming 'free Catalonia' and demanding sanctions against the Spanish central government?

Street violence has continued to erupt across Catalonia as trouble makers stir up unrest and separatism. American leaders have so far resisted the urge to start funding the separatists and lending political support to their street terrorism, and the American public are not yet donning '#FreeCatalonia!!!' t-shirts. Maybe American Congress and public is finally waking up to the negative impacts its interference in foreign countries' political affairs has?

Looks that way. Did you get a go or were you too far back in the crowd?

I think he's so small that when they pulled him off the train he fell straight through the gap between the train and platform and was able to run off.

But then when he went to the police station to report it the police did the same thing anyway. France ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Violent separatist protesters in northern Spain - speaking for only their own minority hate-filled worldviews - have once again drawn a heavy police response and zero support from European or American leaders. This weekend, 350,000 violent petrol bomb-throwing thugs were met with baton rounds and truncheons to skulls, as they deserved:
