If Mark David Chapman were paroled for 24 hours and asked to have dinner with you, would you?

Within minutes of me posting this, SIrhan Sirhan was stabbed in prison.

Sirhan Sirhan, imprisoned for more than 50 years for the 1968 assassination of Sen. Robert F. Kennedy, was hospitalized Friday after being stabbed by a fellow inmate at a San Diego prison. Over the years, Sirhan has claimed to have no recollection of the shooting or his initial confession. As a high-profile prisoner, Sirhan had once been kept in a protective housing unit at Corcoran State Prison in Northern California. After he told authorities several years ago that he would prefer being housed with the general prison population, he was moved to the Richard J. Donovan Correctional Facility.

The attempted murder of Sirhan Sirhan comes a year after Kennedy's son has said he doesn't believe Sirhan Sirhan acted alone.

Robert F. Kennedy's son does not believe that Sirhan Sirhan fired the shots that killed his father and has demanded a new investigation into the assassination.

In 2011, Sirhan Sirhan's attorneys submitted a claim that he had been brainwashed and the attack trigger was the appearance of a "girl in a polka dot dress."

The man convicted of assassinating Robert F. Kennedy in 1968 was brainwashed into shooting him by a mysterious girl in a polka dot dress, his lawyers have claimed.

It has been suggested that Mark David Chapman's attack trigger was the line “This is a people shooting hat. I shoot people in this hat.” from Catcher in the Rye.
