Legan appeared to post a photograph from the festival on his Instagram account shortly before the shooting, with captions expressing his disdain for the event.
“Ayyy garlic festival time,” he wrote beneath a picture of people walking through the festival grounds. “Come get wasted on overpriced shit.”

sounds like he loved garlic... so he went to the festival only to find out once he got there everything was over-priced
why would someone who hated garlic go to a garlic festival & be shopping for garlic to buy. ?
who gets 'wasted on garlic'..?
and who brings a gun to a Garlic Festival...?

Two thoughts. Chicago means garlic so the garlic festival should be there.
Garlic is only mentioned in the Bible once, as a desire of the flesh that caused the Israelites to revolt against Moses (Num 11:5).

This was terrifying. For the last 5 years, my son has flown there to work a buddy's booth he always has at that show. This year my bud was in europe so skipped it, thank the gods.
Just amazing. SMH.

When I lived in the New Forest, we used to go to the garlic festival on the Isle of Wight, it was great fun. One year, we and some friends stayed on the island for a coupla days. We both bought a string of garlic and a string of oak-smoked garlic (bloody delicious), and left them in the boot (trunk) of the cara overnight. The smell when we got in the car next morning was overpowering!

why don't you try to turn everything into Racism.. it doesn't make you look crazy or anything..
if security had checked back packs at the garlic festival.. they would have noticed a 19 year old was carrying a gun into the event.

POINT: No fucking way to "check packs" by "security". You've obviously not been to an event of this sort. Like a juried art show, implementing THAT type of scenario / security would kill the show. May as well not have it. 30,000 people wander through, as an example.
Anyway....I'll say again I am beyond thrilled my son wasn't working the show this year.....whew.
