The Arctic is on fire

Wildfires are ravaging the Arctic, with large areas of Siberia, northern Scandinavia, Alaska and Greenland in flames.

Lightning frequently triggers fires in the region but this year they have been worsened by summer temperatures that are higher than average because of climate change.

Plumes of smoke from the fires can be seen from space.

Scientists say what we're seeing is evidence of the kind of feedbacks we should expect in a warmer world, where increased concentrations of greenhouse gases drive more warming, which then begets the conditions that release yet more carbon into the atmosphere.

A lot of the particulate matter from these fires will eventually come to settle on ice surfaces further north, darkening them and thus accelerating melting.

It's all part of a process of amplification.

The Antarctic is bringing on a new Ice Age

You forgot to talk about how the Antarctic is gaining ice.

Is this also due to Global Warming?

Should you make a poll for that?

*yawn emoji*

A recent study by NASA found that sea ice is growing faster during the winter months today than it did decades ago. This increased growth of sea ice has helped to slow down the overall reduction in Arctic sea ice and delayed an ice-free Arctic.

NASA makes sure to clearly note that this doesn't mean climate change isn't taking place, that our planet is not warming and that the overall amount of sea ice isn't declining in the Arctic.

So how can it be that sea ice is declining in the Arctic but wintertime growth is increasing? While the Arctic sea ice is growing faster and higher during the winter months, it is more than offset by the melting in the summer months

Oh so it's ok to completely credit one study, but ignore another.

Right.

Oh I see, I gave you too much credit. You weren't referencing a proven phenomenon, you were referencing an isolated study that has been repeatedly discredited and proven to be wrong by multiple subsequent studies:

It's actually quite the opposite. Several studies show the Antarctic ice is growing, and this directly contradicts your claims that the world is going to burn. So it's ok to dismiss what doesn't back your claims up that the world will go down in a blazing inferno.

BTW, Forbes as a credible source... Really. That's just funny. Come back when you can use a source that isn't known to be biased.

And that's ok if you don't want to have a proper debate. Most people who say that after being presented facts opposite to their clam usually just hurl insults and then run. It's quite common among self-denying narcissists, and a trend that is unfortunately growing.

PS: People who delete PM's before the receiver can see them show that can't really control their anger, and need to try to have the other person STFU before they get into a debate.

or are we going with the new one Climate Chaos..?

we all know the Left-Wing Washington Post lies . so this article is a complete fabrication.. .. ..

Global temperatures have dropped since 2016. Here’s why that’s normal.

"The current cooling episode is mostly the result of a reversal of waters in the Tropical Pacific, which can modulate global temperature. Since the Pacific Ocean is our largest global body of water, what it does makes a big difference on global climate. A similar reversal followed the super El Niño in the late ’90s — 1998 was the hottest year on record at the time in part because of the warm El Niño water pushing global temperatures over the brink. Earth went from having one of the strongest El Niño events on record (very warm waters in the central Tropical Pacific) to a few years of cooler waters, thanks to a La Niña period."

Its easy to find a source that isnt forbes or wapost to back up my claims. Just a simple google search will do that, because you clearly understand to which I am referencing.

It's difficult to anticipate what someone will consider a non-biased source. Personally, I would have thought Forbes to be pretty good, but not worth arguing the point.\

but do you have any proof this new climate is part of the natural cycle of the planet's ongoing cycle that has been occurring for about 10 billion years..?
that is isn't because our solar system is constantly entering new regions of space & those new regions might cause temperature change...?
----
also.. referencing climate data from the past 650,000 years is only referencing 0.0065% of the entire time earth has been around

that is data from 0.0065% of the entire history of climate on the earth..
you actually think 0.0065% of the Data represents the natural cycle?

Losing glacial ice is not the same thing as losing sea ice. Gaining glacial ice is not the same thing as gaining sea ice. Do not compare apples and oranges people.

what are my claims..? please quote my claims Goranz .. but it doesn't matter if I did back-up my claims. all you would do is say " that is not real science... " just like everyone else...

so if you can prove humans can control the climate.. go right ahead.. because if humans can make it hotter, then humans can make it colder..
if 'climate change ' was actually a extinction level event.. the world governments would immediately stop all CO2 production.. but guess what.. --> they aren't..

also.. --> I don't think ' The Global Warming ' understands the difference either.. because ' the Global Warming ' is apparently an entity who thinks..
