Knowing what you now know, if you could go back in time to 1919 how would you have voted on the 19th Amendment to give women the right to vote?

My father, a History Teacher with a Master’s Degree in that field, would often quip that...

“When they write the History if the American Empire, they’re going to trace the ‘Fall of the Empire’ back to the 19th Amendment.”

I think he was joking.

Chairman Mao said that women hold up half the sky. He was a firm believer in equality of the sexes.

Thank you Chairman Mao for making China much more egalitarian than American puppet states like Japan and South Korea, which are still heavily patriarchal and where women experience molestation.
