In other words, more Americans were interested in watching the United States team play in 2019 than were interested in watching the Croatian team play in 2018. What an achievement, ladies!!!

You can make the case that the Women’s World Cup Team (WWCT) should be paid based on the revenue their performance generates.... which has no relationship to what the men get paid. i wouldn’t know or care which is more. The pay should be related to the revenue; which would come from TV broadcast (both domestic and worldwide), sponsorships, advertising, public appearance fees, etc.
You can make this case without in any way diminishing the performance and efforts of the women players.

i’m not generally a fan of women sports, but I’m not a crazy fanatic about any sport.
(Except maybe the Bruins, who rock... well and every Boston Team.)
That said there are some sports where (I find) the women are equal to or better than the men when it comes to my (subject) option of the entertainment value.
- Women’s Tennis for instance is currently more interesting than the Men’s field because the men’s side is dominated by 3 players. Also, some of the bigger men it’s all “Serve and Volley” which can get boring.
- Women’s Beach Volleyball trumps Men’s Beach Volleyball... is Men’s Beach Volleyball even a thing?
- I used to be into WWE Wrestling... don’t watch much now, but I think if I were the Diva’s would be what I was going for.
- Olympic Gymnastics and Figure Skating... not really into watching the men. Sorry.
- I dig male, female, and coed Olympic Curling all equally.
The point is... you have some valid thoughts about pay, but do you have to be chauvinistic while you discuss these ideas?
