When a Muslim says "We respect women", imagine a picture of women in a burka... that's it.
And when a Muslim is saying "It's really important we support women in the US", he instantly reminds me of women in Saudi Arabia and other Gulf states... I can't understand why he is wasting his time with USA when the people of his faith are world leaders of disrespect toward women.

There is no greater hypocrite than Sadiq, not that Trump is a good person but he is far from a hypocrite.

I never said its a bad thing, I only pointed out the origin.

Now why women in predominantly Muslim countries wear burkas... I guess they dont like to meet people of other cultures as you said it, or its something else.

And to be on topic... Why Sadiq Khan is not condemning predominantly Muslim countries for violating women rights?

Almost no Muslim-majority countries actually have any rules or laws requiring women to wear veils or headscarves. Even a bunch of countries where Islam is the state religion (e.g. Malaysia, Tunisia) don't have such rules. Women there are choosing to cover up.

In countries like Germany, Spain and the UK it is legal to be totally naked in public, and yet most women walk around clothed. Are European women being oppressed by patriarchal European culture?

In America, however, it actually is illegal to be nude in public in most states. Allahu akhbar!
