....Admired by Napoleon...Why number 2...Washington was the 1st elected Pres...But really...John Hancock was The USA's 1st Pres...Hancock was Pres. Of The Cont. Congress...the leader of The USA's government/country when The USA declared Independence and became The USA...making him the 1st Pres.,for he was in reality now the leader of...The USA......But Old George is still Kool anyway 
...Used to just be Washington's Birthday when people got off...My favorite ending to an Abbott and Costello movie was when Costello played a Ghost trying to get in to Heaven...200 or so years later after the Rev. war...Abbott visits an ancestor of Costello's They find a letter Costello was suppose to deliver to Washington...When the letter is given to the right person's ancestor...Costello is now free from Earth...and Starts up towards Heaven...when he reaches the puffy white clouds...THE PEARLY GOLDEN GATES...He is finally going to get into Heaven...wait a sign on the gates...Closed...Washington's Birthday! 
...Now that's funny...good old comedy...
