Never one to miss out on a wave, McDonald's has become the first big name chain to start serving vegan fried chicken:

Vegetarian customers at McDonald's across the UK have reported finding chicken nuggets in meals that are sold as meat-free.

The fast-food chain launched its spicy veggie wrap in early January.

More like they are starting a wave of finally making vegetables that taste the way they want them to and are probably just barely not toxic enough to pass for human food. Recommended pairing? Coke Zero.

Greggs, a major bakery chain in the UK introduced a vegan sausage roll recently. It sold out everywhere within a few hours where I live. Still sells out weeks later.

Anyone with a little entrepreneur in them and £10k at hand would open a dairy free coffeeshop in the vicinity of an university. Employ a feminist, a homo and a bird with a nice arse, tits and friendly personality. It'll make a killing.

Thing is, people are still going into my local Greggs asking for the Vegan Sausage Roll.

My guess is that a lot of people have heard about it and want to give it a try. If it's tasty and a bit more healthy, then why not?
