A Supreme Court spokesperson said Thursday that Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg fell in her office Wednesday night and was later hospitalized, according to USA TODAY. Ginsberg fractured three ribs in the fall, according to the spokesperson.

Ginsburg reportedly went home after the incident but felt "discomfort" during the night, so admitted herself into George Washington University Hospital on Thursday morning. The spokesperson said that she is remaining in the hospital for "observation and treatment" and that additional updates will be given as soon as possible.

Obviously we all wish her the best and so forth but, in any case, it should be interesting to see if President Trump gets the opportunity to appoint another Supreme Court justice so soon after the last.

Given the issues with Kavanaugh, and our increased majority in the Senate, I'd suggest they just go straight from nomination to a fast plenary voice vote at 9 a.m. the next day and skip the hearing altogether. The American people this week gave President Trump the power to jam the next judge through from announcement to inauguration in 12 hours flat, and he should use it.

Here's Circuit Judge Amy Barrett ... young, in good health, and ready to spend 40 years on the Court, if called.
