You really should tone it down a bit though. Fun as it can be to see you throw another tantrum, it's less fun to see a man self-destruct.

Tough to follow with the lack of details and punctuation perhaps a picture could help clear things up or a drawing maybe more text but probably not since it could potentially just run on and might not even be a single train of thought lord knows I myself can be guilty of posting things that contain too much text sometimes barely related I am left wondering what feature of a cunt could make it embarrassing if I were to hazard a guess I would wager scent

What a sexist f*ck you are. Yeah I know you're referring to Serena being rather manly.

I did write 4 paragraphs on Serena, her tantrum and press conference. Then condensed it down.

i'm going to have to agree with the ram in this one.
so embarrassing. what does she think gives her the right to abuse a chair ref like that? the guy has to take it because all of flushing meadows is there to see her win the US open.
the classic tantrum on entitled brats you see only from customers in.. ok i'll stop there, or i know someone who will be mad at me for a generalization again..
this is pretty much what you guys were complaining in twitter some months ago no? metoo or something like that, from that bernstein guy, it's the same, the chair judge was abused because serena thought it was her party.

oh but i would definitely support Serena choking the ram with one hand and squeezing his balls with the other while repeating "who's embarrassing now huh, why are you crying, why are your balls so small"

lol y'all love getting mad at black people. Tennis dorks look back fondly chuffing about McEnroe's outbursts. And here we are.

Dude... McEnroe was constantly criticized until he retired and now everyone looks back fondly. Perhaps when Serena retires, people will look back fondly. She's the greatest tennis player in history (men or women) and the whole fiasco was beneath her. She does look like a spoiled brat. Yeah, we can look at it from a racism or sexism lens. Or we could look at it from a privileged athlete millionaire dressing down a non-privileged non-athlete non-millionaire. I think it was the latter.

I didn't watch McEnroe, nor watch much tennis. I have seen similar I think, she's not the first.
I was just reading a list of similar outbursts. One was McEnroe's in 1988:
starts at around 3:48
That's a completely different way of arguing. I'd say it's even mild, I've seen much worse. Perhaps the writer of the article doesn't know much and just googled one McEnroe incident and that's what he found.
tgd nailed it with this:
a privileged athlete millionaire dressing down a non-privileged non-athlete non-millionaire.
I remember this one because it was very off putting because I used to like her. The school comment was unnecessary
Now I'd still f*ck her but that's it, no cuddling or anything else.

God help me if I didn't know greek would burst in here to defend the tennis discourse.
I get it with Kaep; he's gone political and American football does get some airtime on the forum here (or used to, when there was more than 10 active posters), but I don't ever see anyone talking about tennis on here besides a casual reference every now and then.
It's a shame the search is broken, because I'm sure we'd be able to find a thread for each of the grand slams Serena has won. This tantrum has surely changed so many people's minds about her. The ram, famously normal person, clutching his pearls about Serena Williams with classy phrases like "embarrassing cunt" is just a response to her being a spoiled rich person.
Get it together greek.

Well yeah, no shit, some people are racist/sexist and are just looking for any opportunity to hate one of the greatest athletes in history. But in real life, the situation has very little to do with race or gender and everything to do with privilege and trying to make an excuse for losing a tennis match you weren't supposed to lose (against a woman of color by the way). I mean, flip it the other way - some people are looking for any opportunity to accuse people of being racist or sexist.
I actually enjoy women's tennis. I tend not to comment in sports threads in this forum and, given the author of the OP and what happened, I knew this wasn't a sports thread.

Interesting coaching rule that started the whole mess. Seems silly. Sad that it impacted the outcome of the match.
Some are backing her, no matter how badly it spiraled out of control. She sure is one attractive pissed off talented millionaire

ftfy. Didn't she and her sister play the 250th ranked man or something and he smoked them in between cigarette breaks? The hype is too much.

It is impossible to harrass a fascist without some centrist shit busting in to deflect. There's almost a century of this and it will never change.

It is impossible for a alt-lefter to harass an alt-righter without some centrist shit busting in to deflect. We don't want extremes.
To be fair, I blamed wealth for this, which you ostensibly should support. Although I suppose it's weird when wealth comes into conflict with race/gender.

Lol alt-left. Why are the centrists constantly deflecting for the alt-right, hm? Some common ground there? I'm just saying it's weird how motivated you are to pick sides against leftists and not the other way around. If the answer truly is watered down policies somewhere in the center, then surely you have incentive to address both sides equally, yes? Maybe we can just flatter ourselves with the idea that we have more interesting conversations. You, know, with me on the left, and you defending fascists.
This isn't about wealth, and you know it. Ego, maybe. She's competitive to a fault apparently, and she's been around long enough to think it has earned her something maybe. But this isn't about the privilege of wealth. Unless you've got some data somewhere showing that the money Serena's earned is somehow causing her to expect to win and not the 23 grand slam titles she's won.
But, I mean, take all the sports stars money, sure. Give them healthcare, obv, and a living wage (for their whole life, not just in the three or so years that they average in whatever league they are in) but yeah, in general, eat the rich.

I debate things with people I respect. I don't debate or even engage with people I don't respect. I respect you because you're intelligent and reasonable. I don't respect people who are racist, sexist, etc. so I don't engage with them. If I thought I needed to engage those types of people, I would. Nevermind that I'm not defending him; I'm simply pointing out that the victim of this event is not Serena Williams because she's black or a woman.

The event, no. The media, some. The thread, 100%.
It's just weird getting pushback every time I'm picking on the site's resident Goebbels. Just let me troll the nazis without having to wade through a sea of "um, sir, the discourse" from the lanyards.

Okey dokey (this website really needs to get a thumbs up emoji).

The only fault I have on Serena is when she said "I never cheat", and then her coach says "yeah, I cheated"
Watching the video its obvious to me this is a normal routine, so to say she didn't cheat when she does is not a real good complaint, had she just continud bashing him saying things like "everybody does it" she'd be in a better light.
Aside from all that, I think the judge messed up the game, and serena would have won this in the long road by taking the high road. Instead she went beserko. Its a shame, the only victim here is the winner of the match.
