By playing golf with Donald Trump, who shouldn't be recorded in case future historians use it and play the race card to avoid deflation.

Am I close to your thinking?

I don't think you're a troll, HR. I mean, you are being intentionally annoying by starting a new thread everytime your last thread gets debunked, and the stunt you pulled in Live Chat wasn't cool, but you've seemed reasonable mostly.

Maybe don't make a thread attacking a black woman for "playing the race card" against a racist, then when it gets shot down, try to attack her for recording the president, then when that gets shot down because the president isn't really busy, start a thread about how golf is a really important presidential duty to create jobs, then when that gets shot down, start another thread about how you can land jobs in unusual places (like golf courses, obviously).

And quit the personal attacks on Live Chat and in GD, ok?

I'd like to talk to the old HR, I got on well with him.

In 2001, I had my do-it-yourself driving test. I walked in to a snow-plow yard during a snow storm, they were short handed as always. I went to the foreman with my resume. He didn't even look at it. "You've driven truck before?" "Yup, of course." "You can handle a ten-speed?" "Yup." "Okay, hop into Sander 4 over there and drive it around a bit. Let me know if you can handle it."

So I hopped into Sander 4, drove it around the yard a bit, went back and told him "no problem." "Okay, that will be your regular truck." And that was it. I had the job.

It's funny. We try to reassure the public that our drivers are highly-trained professionals. But the fact is, during a snowstorm we are so desperate for warm bodies to put in the trucks that as long as you have a commercial license, don't smell of booze, and can manage to get out of the yard without hitting anything, you're in.

You had a CDL, you knew the vehicle. You WERE a highly trained professional. I couldnt have driven that behemoth

Had one of my customers (I was a lender) hire me away from the bank as his controller while we were hammered at a bar.

6 years later I bought a fledgling business that I helped start from my dying neighbor....I havent fired myself yet :D

"don't smell of booze"? I feel like that's discrimination in Canada.

In all my time on this site, no one has ever pegged me so accurately.

I'm a Napa Valley 'maintream' liberal though, not to be confused with a Sonoma County 'hippy' liberal.

I'm yer huckleberry :D

You DO have lovely vineyards...we're catching up though! My dad has made 100 gallons plus a year for 45 years now....won some awards. My eldest son has taken up the mantle....have 40 gallons or so in process in my shop. Lost more space dammit, but for a worthy cause!

Please don't tell me you are making wine out of Huckleberrys   8-[

Do you know what type of grapes you are using?

Barrels are generally 59-60 gallons, if he isn't already your dad should consider picking a 'once used' one from a winery nearby if there are any. I think he'll find it makes a big difference. Buy a french one if he can find it, probably cost about 200-300 for a used one with some toast left on it.

No not huckleberry...lol. Reference from the movie Tombstone.

Dad does some grape wine but primarily fruit. His elderberry is award winning, Son has done elderberry, peach, dandelion (primarily raisin) and raspberry (we harvest probly 100 lbs a year out of our bushes).

They both only use glass carboys....

I got the reference, was just being a douche. Among the most classic quotes of all time, Val Kilmer was a real actor once lol.

Can't really speak to the value of barrels for Peach, Dandelion and raspberry... but I bet it would work will with the elderberry. They have some smaller 25 gallon barrels too, but frankly the carboys are a more controlled environment, so maybe its better he stick with that. If you are ever out my way and wana go tasting hmu!

I used to make a lot of wine, long long ago - only in small batches, mainly using stuff from a tiny garden I had. Tea wine was a favourite too.
