Drugs that have passed phase 1 testing shouldn't be used. They really do need to go through phases 2 and 3 as well. Phase 1 is just to see what the adverse effects are. Phase 2 and 3 tests the actual efficacy on people that actually have the illness/disease/whatever that the drug is actually for.

If they've passed phase 1, then yeah, they're probably not going to hurt you too bad (or at least not in any unexpected ways), but there's no guarantee that they'll actually work. So, you may end up with parents trying these expensive treatments for no reason whatsoever.

This does seem like more of a "photo op" for Trump than anything actually good being done.

Better to use the established method and only allow people to use drugs that have passed all stages of testing.

Actually, it was just that the parents couldn't afford to rent the wheelchair any more.

saxi would claim the boy suddenly was cured and didn't need the wheelchair anymore after seeing Trump, if he could get away with it.
