Ambien makes you racist

Roseanne Barr has blamed sleeping pills for her tweet likening a black former Obama aide to an ape.
The TV star said what she did was "unforgiveable" and, while asking fans not to defend her actions, tried to explain away the post as having been caused by the effects of the sedative Ambien.
A spokeswoman for Sanofi, the pharmaceutical company that makes Ambien, said in response to Barr's tweets about taking the sedative: "While all pharmaceutical treatments have side effects, racism is not a known side effect of any Sanofi medication."

I have a friend that takes Ambien- he pretty much goes crazy. Several instances of him just saying completely inane, irrational things. Just seems to lose coherency often and does weird things.

I know I tried a lot of different drugs to get me off the booze a few years back and it made me really crazy, but never racist.

I knew a vietnamese girl back in high school with the name of Mei Van. We used to go up to her and yell in her face "No, it's mine!" We were smoking a lot of weed back then, maybe I can blame it on that?

She was really cute. It was always funny to see her face cuz she'd get really mad when we'd yell that at her, but she had one of those tiny little mousey faces so it was even cuter when she was mad.

The whole 'cute when upset' thing really played to their disadvantage back in the 70s, but thankfully they have prevailed as a people.

Yep, had a roommate 10 years ago or so who took Ambien. He would walk out of his room and sit on the steps and talk to the wall and not make any sense...so, yes, Ambien doesn't make you a racist, but it could definitely make you say things that you usually wouldn't say. VJ's hair has always looked like the ape girl from Planet of the Apes, unfortunately Roseanne actually said it on social media. Tough call. What do you do if you are ABC?
