so I just came across this:

https://www.aa.com.tr/en/europe/french- ... ce/1137765

So basically, this manifesto in France was aiming at protecting Fench Jews that are more and more targeted by the Muslim community. We have much more Muslims in France than we have Jews, so on a political standpoint the Jews don't get as much attention from politicians (to a certain extent, because the Jew community in spite of being small is extremely powerfull).
But this isn't just about the jews, but also about all the none muslim believers. Basically, some surats in te Coran say that muslims should murder jews and none believers. This manifesto signed in France was asking to "update" the Coran and remove those messages of hate.

The way this is seen from Turkey with this fucktard Erdogan is pretty funny. We can't touch his "supreme religion" lol. The article doesn't even mention what is a problem for none muslims.

The muslims should seriously start to look at their own self and stop thinking they are superior and much more enlightned than all of us scumbags. How about respectingothers and learn to live in peace and being tolerant to others? They can't even tolerate sunii and shia among themselves. Fucking idiots.

It seems fair enough for someone to say that the Quran or any other holy book shouldn't just be edited because individuals who don't follow that religion have decided they don't like what's in the holy book. The whole point of the Quran (or Bible, Torah etc.) is that it's a transcript of various historical documents and events. If you start editing it, it's not the Quran any more. Would you support 'updating' Voltaire transcripts to remove any of the passages that encourage people to become hedonists?

Either way, almost no Muslims (except whackos like ISIS) actually believe that killing other people is acceptable. Clearly however the Quran is written, it is interpreted as instructing people not to kill. Hasn't this argument already been done to death in OT? That there are plenty of passages in the Bible commanding Christians to go forth and massacre God's enemies as well, but taken within the context of the whole Bible those passages are clearly not instructions that Christians are supposed to follow.

Oh, betty.

It says, "... must submit to the laws and pay tribute. Otherwise they must be killed every last one." but I can't find it. So maybe disregard.

Here's some discussion about stuff, including a guy explaining a thing from Luke in the New Testament talking about killing out of context.

I guess if there is stuff directing them to kill us but you edit it out we should be safe.

No one has found one yet.

In the Old Testament there were specific times when the Hebrews were told to kill specific people. Presumably they did that a few thousand years ago.

Some people will take a few sentences out of context and claim to prove they have the right to kill someone but that is different.

You should really consider talking to some actual Muslims. Maybe even visit a mosque. You seem to have a grotesque view of Muslims, similar to your anti-semitic stereotypes of Jewish people:

If you're really interested in respecting "others", why not give it a try? Most Imams are pretty welcoming to the idea of dispelling some of the myths you talk about. Rabbis too.

In the UK, a lot of mosques hold open days where non-believers can come and talk to Muslim folk. If that happens where you are, you should take that opportunity.

Literally the worst thing that can happen is that you'll eat too many samosas.

Regardless of religion or lack of. It is human nature to read things, then put your own ideas in while you talk about what you read.
