Well, maybe in Asia they do that, too. I haven't been there. But they definitely don't work like that in Europe. In Europe, when it's your break, it's your break. Not like here where, "yeah I know it's break time, but I just need you to finish a couple things first...."

My old company was headquartered in America, and the rumour was that if you worked at one of the American offices then you could be fired by text message, effective immediately. Always thought that was funny.
