I like to think you are actually celebrating these things in real life. In a pointy paper hat blowing out a candle on a cupcake for whatever CC members birthday it is.

My view is that if it was worth giving up I'd have given it up already. Or certainly wouldn't need a random time period like 'New Year' or 'Lent' to come along before I can quit it.

When I was young I used to pass by an Episcopalian elementary school named "St. David's." I always thought it was odd that Episcopalians would make "saints" of old testament figures. ... Well obviously I was wrong. He was a Christian saint.

Interesting, since the thread explained it was a Welsh holiday I never considered King David as being the Saint. I see how you thought that though.
