Aw c'mom. You would have lobbed a couple at Kim by now if you had a button. This seems a bit disingenuous. Carry on.

I have always been consistent in my view that when America gets involved in another region's politics - especially Asia - it acts as a force for evil.

The only time the UK pops up in Asia these days it is to beg for trade deals so the UK is now on the 'Okay' list.

Refraining from bullying and confrontation =/= being impotent

You're right. The empire collapsed because you're a generation of pussys that won't go take over and put the locals in their place as subjects anymore.
Pseudo Burn would show you how to set up Hong Kong instead of giving it back.

Hong Kong was leased to the UK by China for 99 years, from 1898 until 1997. The UK gave it back because its lease was up.

Exactly the attitude America takes to Asia and exactly why my OP is accurate. All hail China, all hail resistance against Darth Bush/Obama/Trump!

Diplomacy and stability is good. Reunification would be cool but I think that ship might have sailed

So basically you believe it a two-state solution.

Eventually North and South Korea will unite. North Korea will collapse on its self and South Korea will pay for the reunification, just like West Germany paid for the collapse of East Germany.

I'm not really bothered about whether the two Koreas stay separate or somehow manage to reunite. I'm more interested in there not being a war (potentially involving nuclear weapons) right on China's doorstep.
One of the key objectives that needs to be achieved for any war to become impossible/peace to be achieved is for America to cease to have a military influence on the peninsula. As long as America has troops doing exercises in South Korea and is issuing statements condemning the North Korean government, the North will remain paranoid about turning into the next Libya/Syria and will continue to act like a bunch of pricks.
China has the most leverage over North Korea, doesn't like the North Korean government, and has no interest in seeing its third largest trading partner (South Korea) fucked with. China would be willing and able to maintain stability by itself. America just makes things worse.
