Obama continues to beat Trump

Joining a very short list, Trump is the only sitting president NOT to win gallup's most admired man by American's since Obama beat the sitting president GWB in 2008, and before that new pope JPII won in 1980. Only 14% of American's admire Trump the most, and in an odd twist the are all apparently relatives of Karel or Saxi (pronounced Sa-K.K.K.-i),

Apparently more people care what he has to say then they care what the orange turd blossom has to say... about 3% more. Maybe you should break away from the union and start a new state of backasswardsia?

Maybe that's because no news outlet will actually cover Trump. I don't like it when he gets on Twitter and says whatever...

But how else is he supposed to talk about things if the media won't cover him? They always covered Obama...

Conspiracy? :-$

I think he can act dumb at times, but I don't think he is an idiot. That is just opinions between us all. What isn't opinion, and is fact, is that the media is unwilling to report any positive Trump news. Which could tie into why his "rating" is so low: because the general public don't see any positive news coming from the media. It's all biased, and is being used to push an agenda.

Jd you are basically answering your own question. Why does the media not have alot of bad to say right now about Obama(I'd argue there was plenty of bad obama news in the media when he was president but that is a separate issue), and they seem to not have alot of good stories about trump?

Well, two reasons. One; Trump acts dumb sometimes and Obama didn't ever act dumb. If you are a rational person and not karel, you should be able to see that over time media has always favored people that are charismatic, and neged people that... act dumb (nixon/kennedy). That would be true regardless of party, as it was in the time before all news media claimed or were forced into one side or the other.

Reason Two; Trump declared War on all media before he even started running. Why on earth would CNN report good things about him, when he labeled them fake news? Ethics of the news media aside, he also hasn't done one centerpiece great thing the whole country (not just half) can rally around that the mainstream media could actually get behind (you could potentially argue the tax reform bill may have changed that, though the jury is still out on that). What exactly would you have him claim fully as his own as a great thing he's done to change the current tone of the media? Trump doesn't have more media allies because he acted like a dumbass and said stupid hateful things and pissed all over everyone on his way to the top. He said f*ck you to the media on the back of Steve Bannon, and now what CNN is supposed to deify him?

My statement was about Obama over his entire 8 years as president. The media never talked about him the way they talk about Trump. Never. While Trump and Obama are not the same in style as far as how they speak, Trump called CNN fake news because some of their major headlines were fake news. Did you not see that video (as I am sure you did) about CNN purposefully pushing the Trump collusion with Russia, even though it was hogwash? That's just one example. That was a major CNN blunder. And that is just CNN, and not any of the other news organizations out there (like WaPost, HuffPost, NYTimes, etc...)

As far as what Trump has accomplished, so far it hasn't been what it could have been. For some reason, the Republicans are fighting him. And it is bewildering to me. The Republicans control the House and Senate, and only the tax bill has been passed this year (that has been really major). They should be getting a lot more done. But the Republicans, for whatever reason, are fighting Trump. Trump said since he took office on day 1, that he was waiting for the Republicans to have a healthcare bill that he would sign. But they have bumbled around. It really gets under my skin.

They did come up with a revised version of the health care bill, but it was so astronomically shitty, with increased premiums, that no one in their right mind would support it unless they're ignorant or oblivious.

Aside from that, the initial promise from Trump was that he would repeal Obamacare, not give us a shitter version of it.

I really appreciate how you are responding like a sane person JD. I agree that most mainstream media is dead set against him, I think we might just have different opinions on why that is. I think if trump hadn't declared war on the media back in 2015, he wouldn't have so many reporters that don't want him to succeed. I think trump made the bed he is sleeping in. At the end of the day one of the main things we rely on the Media to do for us as citizens is to bring to light lies made by public officials... would you agree?

Since 2015, Politifact has counted three hundred and twenty-nine public statements by Trump that it judges to be mostly or entirely false. (In comparison, its count of such misstatements by Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell is thirteen.)

I don't know if you view politifact as a left wing organization or not. I don't really...but I'm sure plenty of people will claim they are idk.

http://www.politifact.com/personalities/barack-obama/

http://www.politifact.com/personalities/donald-trump/

To me this is why the media is bent against trump... He lies, and quite directly to the media. He lies so much and so often, what would you have the media do? Just echo chamber all the lies, exaggerations and bellicosity?

Frankly, I think if trump wanted to speak to america through the media he easily could. Any reporter from any news agency would jump at the chance to interview him, regardless of the terms he would set for the interview. But he doesn't, partially for strategic reasons, partially because he isn't very good at no saying something stupid during these interviews.

Thank you. I try to be sane and welcome differing opinions. I am not a SNOWFLAKE or a MILLENNIAL (even though my "age" would classify me as one). Lol.

To your point, I looked at some of Trump's and Obama's files on PolitiFact... and while some may be lies(for both Trump and Obama), other quotes are.... Let's say biased. I'm from Alabama so the one quote Trump made about Jones really struck me. And some quotes from Obama are sort of misleading. I would say overall the files that PolitiFact made for both are somewhat truthful, but have a certain twist towards them. Most politics is like that nowadays, somewhat truthful bits here and there, but are twisted to benefit the agenda of the person saying it.That's just what I have looked into, and I haven't been looking into politics that much in 2017 (just major headlines) to justifiably say whether every single quote is as truth or a lie.

Also, I think the reason Trump isn't interviewed by most major news outlets is the same reason why Obama never did a major interview with Fox News.

I think you are dead on with your last line. I kind of wonder why Trump hasn't extended this olive branch to Fox News, they are the clear ally if he wanted to make one in the media. My guess is he thinks the media hating him is actually to his advantage.

Fox is the lap dog of Trump, but was the pit bull of Obama. You want to talk media bias? They are the kings of it.

Why does a network that cares so much about conservative values air television shows like Family Guy, yet, turn around and promote core Christian values?

Only one reason.....ratings. The new network on the block needed to carve out a niche or fail, so they went with the most controversial comedies and series that push the envelope, and then ram hardcore Christian values down your throat. All for money. MONEY. Corporate greed at it's finest. They don't give a flying f*ck about Christian values, they just want advertising dollars. Same with their news. They slant it for the dollars. I am not saying NBC, CBS or ABC are better, but they aren't nearly as hypocritical about it all.

What's not conservative or Christian about Family Guy? Nice monogamous family, obedient wife, father dumb as a stump, daughter's afraid to admit she's gay....

They could be on the cover of Texarkana Family Weekly.

media is very left wing, yes obama gave lots of interviews, cuz the boy did nothing,so he had lots of time, obama care was a joke and it need to go,worst flipping idea ever.i think the reason why left wing news hates trump,is cuz the man say's it like it is,trade he is fixing all the f*ck ups,he is trying harder then any prez to work so hard to get america back on its feet, but since obama put so many on welfare, this could be hard, but he will be working on that next, yep kick them off it

Trump is working very hard, I agree. But not doing what you think he is. He's making changes that will help the 0.1% get richer. He is helping him and his friends, the billionaires club. Putin (KGB agent become President while his opposition die from nuclear poisonings) is a member too.

And yet, not a day goes by that a billionaire doesn't lambast Trump or threaten to sue him. But to keep the fairy tale you've been sold alive - of a mustachioed, wealthy villain battling a pure and innocent peasant - you ignore these or explain them away as being "good billionaires" so that all the shapes can fit neat and snugly in the pattern of the simple, black and white world you see.

This isn't a battle between billionaires and peasants. This is a battle between neo-liberals and neo-mercantilists. Each group - including your own - is led by a cartel of billionaires who stand to profit if their side wins. Welcome to the grown-up world, Billy.

He's making changes that will help the 0.1% get richer.

Speaking of the fairy tale you've been sold, you're even using a slogan developed by a billionaire's PR firm - Workhouse Publicity - whose other clients include Cartier watches and the Ford family.
