Two asian men drove a Cherokee Jeep into the door of Departures of Glasgow international airport, and exploded the device on board. Eye witnesses saw the men leaping from the jeep, clothes on fire, before they were caught by people on the scene...this happened only minutes ago, so it has yet to be posted by major news sites...(i just saw it on Sky News).

Time now is 16:29
This is an ongoing event, it only happened minutes ago. The car was driven into the front door of the terminal, and two asians jumped from the car. In true Scottish fashion a fight broke out as the men were wrestled to the ground, and police were quickly on scene.
AN EYE WITNESS REPORT SAID THAT SOME PEOPLE WERE ON THE GROUND INJURED(dead, i don't know?), although it is as of yet unconfirmed if anyone was seriously hurt.....Sky is actuall speaking to eye witnesses on their mobile phones, as there is as of yet no reporters on scene.

Yeah trying something like that in Glasgow is a fairly good way to get a beating.
Strange too, I can't figure out what could motivate choosing that location.

I think that the failure of the bombs in london would be teh reason that the bomb was driven itno the terminal and not abandoned.

Glasgow has one of the biggest muslim communities in Britain, seems like the law of averages that it would be a target (not tarvelling far to attack an all)

Yeh looks like a nasty thing... Don't think any members of the public have been killed, though... The bollards to protect against such attacks did their job. I cannot play down the severity of the attacks over the last few days, but thank god no-one has lost their life because of it and I must say the way the authorities seem to be dealing with things, just as they did on 7/7, is admirable.

Brilliant that. Blow up the area you live in. Then try to make off on foot.

Sky News: wrote: James Edgar Told us "People were running past like they has missed their flight.
"They told us all to get out of the airport.
"Everyone was in a panic and police and security were scuffling with an Asian gentleman."
He added: "There was a lot of anger - if the crowds had got hold of this gentleman it would have been the end of him."
That last part is what I was thinking too.

What a terrible attempt at hurting the public! These guys clearly did not know what they were doing.

I didn't realize that if you recorded a noise and changed the language, the noise would sound different.

I meant Fiona Tracy's commentary. The sirens were pretty much sirens.

just been on the bbc website. there is an interview with a bloke that punched him to the ground. the bloke said his hair was on fire and his skin was burning. 4 police men then jumped in with some airport staff helping as the asian man was fighting back. 2 have been arrested.
