Someone had to take a stand. I'M MAD AS HELL, AND I'M NOT GONNA TAKE IT ANYMORE!

... Looked a bit set-up, though. That camera shift to the shredder was instant. ...

... Good point, though, staged or no. Paris news is not really news.
... (I don't even know who she is, really... hear the name now and again, though).

she's got a good point, but i think she should be punished for using a lighter on stage

I feel that if it was staged, they might have scripted her partners to not look like condescending a**holes. Just a thought. And yeah, some more actions like this by TV news might lead me to give it an ounce of credit.

Her two stupid dumbass prick co-hosts were complete assholes.
You know what the saddest thing is - she, the one person of intelligence on that morning show, is probably going to be fired for her mutiny of sorts.

Oh, definitely staged: the shredder oddly set up 6 feet away, the newscaster happened to have a lighter in his pocket (as if he even smokes, much less carries his cigs on the set).
The point they're trying to make, I guess, is that Paris Hilton is not as important as the Iraq War--yet the put off talking about "real news" to play their little joke about Paris Hilton.
Ugh.
Maybe they're not worried about any kind of point at all, just ratings.

you are all cynics. A staged set up wouldn't have looked staged. And news offices have shredders in them. She did the right thing.
